Bach
Uneven response+colors of high/loud upper register (High C+). Registers are in tune w/ each other. Lacks stability of slot.
Not as centered as others. Energy of beginning of notes is dull compared to other horns. Most similar to other trial of any of the four horns.
Benge
Ease of response comes at expense of stability in high register. Tone color slightly inflexible.
Sound is much more even. Still is weak slotting, etc. Unstable in louds compared to others.
Besson
General sound okay. High resister flat. Feels uncentered. Leadpipe resists too much early on.
Intonation between registers is better. More even throughout.

Blackburn
No high register slotting. Sound gets dead the higher you go. Low c sharp. High register flat.
Tone has more center. Dead quality is gone. Odd resistance due to tuning slide shape still present. Big change!
