Cob Cactus


Called the Cob Cactus because as it ages it frequently will lose the older, lower spines leaving the tubercules bare and the plant resembling a corn cob. This plants generally grow to only 5-6 inches in height and may be found as a single plant or in clumps. They can be quite variable in appearance. They are widely distributed throughout the Franklin Mountains, usually on rocky slopes with good drainage.
